Pullman Academy Launches: IMI-Accredited Training to Help Employers Tackle Compliance

Backed by real-world experience and IMI accreditation, Pullman Academy delivers compliance-critical training across logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and construction.

Pullman Fleet has officially launched Pullman Academy, an accredited training provider for employers across logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and construction. The Academy is built on over 30 years of hands-on industry experience and aims to tackle three of the biggest challenges businesses face today:

  • A shortage of skilled, job-ready staff
  • Increasing pressure around compliance and insurance
  • The rising cost of downtime and lack of high-quality training

“Skilled people are hard to find, and compliance isn’t optional,” said Dave Jones, Managing Director at Pullman Fleet. “We’ve trained our own teams to the highest standards for decades, and Pullman Academy is about opening that up to other businesses. It’s practical, accredited training that helps you stay compliant, keep people safe, and retain highly skilled staff.”

Hands-On Training, Backed by Industry Accreditation

Courses are delivered face-to-face by qualified instructors and cover critical safety and compliance areas such as first aid, fire marshal training, forklift truck operation, abrasive wheel safety, and HGV/trailer inspection. All courses are accredited by leading bodies including Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), RTITB, City & Guilds, and PADI.

“You want to know your team’s trained properly, not just ticked a few boxes. That’s the purpose of the Academy, to provide hands-on training that drives real improvements in workplace performance. Our courses are specifically designed to improve safety, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and safeguard your business.” said Phil Whitehead, Technical & Compliance Service Manager.

Designed for the Real World

Pullman Academy offers training that fits around your operation, not the other way around. Courses can be delivered at their IMI-accredited Sherburn HQ, on-site at any of Pullman’s UK locations across Yorkshire, the Midlands, North West, Greater London, and Scotland, or directly at customer premises (subject to facilities) with minimum bookings starting from just 2 learners.
Current courses include:

  • HGV & Trailer Inspection (IMI & IRTEC)
  • Forklift Truck – New & Refresher (RTITB)
  • First Aid at Work – Full, Refresher & Emergency (PADI)
  • Fire Marshal Training
  • Abrasive Wheel Safety (City & Guilds)
  • Telehandler

With more courses being added all the time.
